Elizabeth A. Dalena

Elizabeth A. (Beth) Dalena personifies the Dalena & Bosch motto, “Holding your hand when you need it most.” She is a tireless advocate for her clients, who ensures everyone she encounters is treated with respect. Because of this, she is a pillar of the Morris County legal community, and is highly sought after by people looking to divorce with dignity.

After graduating from Law School at Seton Hall, Beth clerked for the Honorable Robert C. Shelton, Jr., JSC, Superior Court Judge, Family Part, Sussex County. She then joined her father’s firm, which she today operates with Jessica A. Bosch as Dalena & Bosch.

It is an honor for Beth to carry on her father’s legacy in the Morris County legal community. From a young age, she knew she wanted to become a lawyer because she saw the impact her father’s work had on the lives of people in the Madison area. He was and is her inspiration. She tries every day to treat her clients with the compassion and care her father taught her every person deserves.

Having been widowed at age 40 with 3 children, Beth knows first hand just how important it is to have someone who can help guide you when times are tough. Her experience raising children and running a business as a single parent, while coping with her own grief, gave her a greater understanding of the sense of loss that many clients deal with as they navigate the divorce process. She relates to many of her clients on a deeply personal level, and often suggests resources they can use to move forward after the divorce is finalized. While divorce signifies an end to one part of life, Beth shows her clients the door is just opening to another chapter.

Although she is no stranger to the courtroom, Beth is trained in mediation and collaborative divorce. She therefore enjoys working with clients who are open to resolving their differences behind closed doors. There is no one-size-fits all approach to divorce, and Beth’s experience with mediation, arbitration, litigation, and collaborative divorce ensures that her clients get a personalized plan that fits their unique circumstances.

By focusing in on the needs and goals of both parties, Beth is able to craft creative solutions that transform a divorce from something that is nerve wracking or even frightening to something that is just one stopover on the way toward a better, more fulfilling life.

In her free time, Beth enjoys traveling and supporting live music — with an emphasis on anything Jerry Garcia related.
