Abuse comes in many forms — physical, emotional, and financial.
Abuse does not discriminate — it happens to people of all ages, races, and income levels.
Abuse is widespread — one in four women and one in ten men have suffered some form of it.
Yet abuse can make you feel like you are alone. Like you are the only person weak enough, dumb enough, or desperate enough to let it happen to you. Nothing could be further from the truth. You are not alone.
You are not the only person out there who has suffered abuse, and you have more people ready to help you than you can imagine. That group of people ready to help includes the law firm of Dalena & Bosch.
As family law attorneys, we have worked with many clients in Morris County and beyond who have suffered abuse at the hands of a loved one. We can help guide and protect you if you are being abused or fear abuse if you file for divorce.
Our firm’s motto — holding your hand when you need it most — is not an empty platitude. It is a promise. If you need help, we will be there. We can help you get a divorce, get custody of your children, and start a new life where you no longer fear abuse. All you need to do is contact us and we will get the ball rolling.
If you believe the abuse may continue while your case is pending, we can help you get a temporary restraining order (TRO). A TRO sets conditions that the alleged abuser must comply with. If they fail to meet those conditions, they face criminal prosecution. Common conditions include vacating your shared home, and leaving you alone. The TRO may become a final restraining order if the court is persuaded that a restraining order is necessary to protect you.
While our firm can help you meet your long-term goal of starting a new life, if you are in immediate danger, please contact the police or the New Jersey Domestic Violence Hotline. The hotline is available statewide 24-hours a day/seven days a week. The toll free number is 1 (800) 572-SAFE (7233).
